Life moves on so quickly, even more so the older you get it seems My father-in-law past away 4 weeks ago already,
we have a new edition to the family,

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and Christmas is only a few weeks away!

Just wanted to stop in to say Merry Christmas and God Bless to all of my Blogstream friends!

My husband's wonderful father lost his battle with cancer this afternoon. It still hasn't fully sunk in although it seems like it's been a long time since I've spoken to the man he truly was. My husband had visited 4 times since we found out he had stage 4 lung cancer last April, one of the visits being with all of us in tow last summer. I had fought the idea of visiting him, after having gone through watching my own father die of lung cancer 9 years ago, but for my husband I agreed to go. I had seen pictures of him so I wasn't shocked when I saw his frail body and sad empty eyes.

But now that the sickness has taken him it's now time to remember who he was before the illness. I remember feeling relieved when my father passed, knowing he was no longer trapped inside that dying body and had gone on to be with many of his relatives that had gone before him.

Last night as I laid in bed praying and thinking about what this week was sure to become knowing how ill he had become, I prayed for my father and Rob's mother who passed away 13 years ago to get ready to meet Phil because I believed he was needing assurance from someone it was ok to let go of this world. So, between my outburst of tears and sadness, I smile thinking of them hanging out together enjoying today's NASCAR race

Hello Everyone! Fall is becoming cooler and cooler and I actually broke down and turned the furnace on today .I guess it was the sight of my son walking around with the comforter off his bed that made me do it I felt cool but comfortable enough without it on...but I guess I am somewhat menopausally warm

Here are a few pictures I took of my two youngest children. I hadn't noticed how "old" my son was looking until I did these pictures. Losing that little boy look, even though it was hard to get good shots of him because he was constantly doing handstands and making goofy faces at me (which I did get shots of those too for blackmail when he's older

I've been so giddy since I dropped off my official first senior portraits of Amber on Saturday. The hair salon was busy as usual on a Saturday afternoon and Jessica (Amber's Mom who owns the salon) began passing out the pictures for her customers to see!! What a RUSH! Everyone was ooohing and ahhing my work and saying how I should do it for more than just a hobby! She said that a couple of Amber's friends had asked her for my number but she wasn't sure if I wanted to do this all the time. I told her to go ahead and give out my number, because I am having a blast doing this!! Then last night my sister called me to tell me she found me a customer too!! AHHH! Customer? Now comes the questions of what to charge and the other things with starting your own business!! If anyone has done this PLEASE give me some tips!

As my husband and I were leaving the salon I said to him, this sure is more gratifying than balancing the books at work! Now to figure out how to profit from it!
