Figuring it out as I go

 Latest Photo Shoot

My sister's family was my most recent "victims"

My Niece Rachel. I envisioned this as I was losing sleep last week thinking about how to pose my sister's family.
I was so happy that it worked!

I took about 140 pictures of them, and only got about 4 or 5 good pictures of my sister. Almost every shot her eyes were close and it was driving me nuts but I did get a few good ones like this one.

 Hello World!

It's me!! It's been so long since I've sat down to write to anyone! I'm so bad, but sooooooooooooooooo busy! Between work, entertaining...or should I say chauffeuring children during their summer break, and other daily duties, it doesn't leave much time to rest or write! But all is good!

My father-in-law is hanging in there still. We went to visit over the fourth of July. He wasn't feeling very well while we were there but was happy to see us all.

My husband has been in Tennessee all this week supervising a new plant owned by the company he works for. His stories of it have been quite amusing...think Dukes of Hazzard! They've been begging him to transfer there to work for their plant, and I told him only if the signing bonus is enough to pay off our current house and get us out of other debt!! :-) I doubt they could afford that!!

I was asked a few months back by the owner of the hair salon that I have my hair done if I would take her daughter's senior pictures. She saw the pictures I took of my kids last fall and loved them. I said sure, but was hoping she'd forget because I was afraid I couldn't do a good enough job. So last week I practiced with my son's friend who will also be graduating this year and his pictures turned out so good that I've already been asked by two other people to do theirs!! I made some prints and when I went to pick them up the woman said she could only give them to me if I had the signed copyrights to them. I said huh?? She said, these are professional prints. I said to her, uh no, I took those yesterday, and she proceeded to pull them out of the envelope and said THESE?? real rude like I was lying, and I said yes those and the ones of my flowers that are in my back yard!! Then I said, but thanks I'd love to be a professional photographer. She just ignored me and rung up the order. But I kept smiling feeling so proud!! LOL I had had my camera in my purse and wished I had it so I could have shown her.

Well, I must go fold clothes, wash more clothes, probably was a few dishes, figure out what I'm wearing to work, and feed the dogs.

I may not have been writing but you've all are always in my prayers!

Take care!
Connie

P.S.
Here is a picture from my latest photography job. Graduation picture..isn't she pretty?

 8th Anniversary

Of the first time my husband and I talked to each other....online. I drive him crazy with all of my "anniversaries". He doesn't even try to remember them, which I can understand considering I have many...first time we chatted, first time we talked on the phone (don't really remember the date for that one) first time we met, when he moved to Michigan to live with us...the list goes on and on. Our wedding anniversary is July 21st, and we'll celebrate #5 next month. I've been married multiple times and this is the first 5th anniversay...pretty sorry record I have I guess. But without all of those lousy relationships I wouldn't have found this one that still after 8 years makes me smile, laugh, and thank God daily that we met.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hugs & Prayers!

 Remember Me??

Hi Everyone that remembers me . I've been SO SO busy lately that I rarely log on to look at my email.

My father-in-law is doing better. He's had 3 chemo treatments and his appetite has returned and has put on 10 pounds. He's getting his energy back and went out and bought a fishing license to get out of the house and live a little . He's a tough man with a lot of people who love him, so if anyone can beat this or at least get more time it's him.

My oldest son turned 18 yesterday which felt very strange. Life goes by so quickly, I can remember being 18 and feeling like I knew it all, and it doesn't seem like all that long ago. Now I'm 44 and feel like I'm just starting to learn what life is all about!!

I hope everything is well with all of you and that you are enjoying every day to the fullest!

Oh yes..and I can't forget this...GO PISTONS!!!

Hugs & Prayers!

 Another Update...

Thank you everyone that sent well wishes on my last post. It's been a crazy week and I never had time to respond to anyone. Rob got home Sunday night from Arkansas. His Dad went to his doctor as he promised on Tuesday, an x-ray showed a mass on his right lung. Wednesday we got a call that they took him to the hospital. When his blood work came in it showed his calcium levels were through the roof and there were signs of liver & kidney failure. His dad had called on his way to the hospital and left the most sad message on our voice mail telling Rob he better come back. SO..Thursday afternoon I dropped Rob off at the airport. His brother who lives in Idaho was flying in around the same time so we coordinated it so they could drive together from the airport in Little Rock.

The CAT scan, MRI, & biopsy he had while in the hospital concluded that he has Squamous (?) non-small cell lung cancer...stage 4. Not good. They told him with or without Chemo he has months (not how many...just months)but Chemo would help lower his calcium levels. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon and is suppose to go back Monday to have a port put in for Chemo, and Tuesday will be his first round of Chemo.

My husband said he looks better than when he was there last week since they got his calcium lowered in the hospital and he has his appetite back. I'm not sure how long Rob is staying this time, He has a couple weeks vacation left.

Rob is kind of stuck there right now, security at the airport in Detroit didn't give him his license back so we're not sure how he could fly back. We only bought him a one way ticket assuming the kids and I would be down there for a funeral to bring him back. I'm trying not to think that way now.

Ok...that's the scoop with my life. Hope yours is much better!

Take care!!! Hugs & Prayers!
